Browsing a Model with the Reader View

Once you've built a navigation tree, you can make it the way people read your model — without changing how it's organized for editing.

Set a primary tree

Select the tree in the Trees section of the Model Navigator.
In its properties panel, click Set as primary Reader navigation. A ★ marks it as the primary tree.

A model has one primary tree at a time. Click the ★ button again to clear it.

Switch to the Browse view

Once a primary tree is set, a Model | Browse toggle appears at the top of the Model Navigator:

Model — the familiar folder-and-type navigator you build in.
Browse — the navigator follows your primary tree instead, showing its branches and elements in the reading order you defined. Click any element to open it.

Switch back to Model at any time. The Browse/Model choice is per session — it resets when you reload — while the primary-tree designation itself stays with the model.

Good to know

If you delete the tree that was set as primary, the navigator simply falls back to the Model view.
Readers with view-only access can use the Browse view too.
